Many people move from houses to apartments, but when considering the of the home, they often feel confused, such as:”

So, which direction should the apartment face?”

As we knew, Fengshui is a scientific discipline derived from the life experiences of our ancestors over many thousand years of history. Currently, we are the generation inheriting and building upon those experiences in order to apply them for a better quality of life.

• When living in an apartment building, the facing direction of the ground floor determines that of the upper floors as well.
• However, to reach one’s apartment, one has to enter the central part of the building, take the elevator, and ascend to the respective floor. When entering the house through this door, it becomes the rear entrance.
• From the corridor leads to the center of the building for access, the entrance from there cannot serve as the main door. Because the staircase for the apartment building is always situated within the core of the structure.
• The corridor usually has little or no wind, and the main entrance of the apartment building is rarely opened. The area where wind can flow in for ventilation and sunlight can enter the house is considered the frontispiece.

When we arrive at a unit at Tresor apartment in District 4, we enter the elevator and then come into the house. At that time, the apartment’s entrance is facing southeast. But the balcony is northwest.

At this point, the direction of the house will be considered northwest. Because all the light, wind, and view for the house come solely from the balcony and the entrance only serves as a back door.

Assuming this apartment doesn’t have a balcony, the view and the bright area would be the front of the apartment. And the house orientation would still be considered northwest.
